and we enter infinity. This she knew just
as pinecones and sunflowers know of endless, elegant
patterns – reliable, predictable order, she
must have found a golden serenity
in this ubiquitous array of spiraling pairs: life and death. Having come to be, she
will never come not to
be. Imperishable one – once fire, now wind – she
knew what fragile guests we are on this
Earth, irrational nature, we all
die so we
might live
illimitable
